Security has always been one of the keys to success for Monaco as an events destination. And never has this been more important. Having developed impressive safety measures and protocols and invested heavily in technology for hybrid events, Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer looks forward to welcoming green and innovative events when the world opens up again
Located in the heart of Monaco on Casino Square – Place du Casino – One Monte-Carlo is the newest Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer venue to open. A stunning new conference centre, it has almost doubled the event space available on this legendary Square. Together with the adjacent Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo and Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo, it has created a new business tourism hub.
In addition, the Place du Casino has itself been transformed into a modern, open space offering clear views of the gorgeous Belle Epoque buildings including the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, the Café de Paris de Monte-Carlo and, of course, the Casino de Monte-Carlo.
Taking the lead in eco-responsible events
Monaco has long taken a lead in environmental sustainability and Monte-Carlo SBM has been an important partner. Among the group’s impressive green credentials are four Green Globe certified hotels and all new projects are BREEAM certified, including the transformation of the Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, creation of the One Monte-Carlo district and its new Conference and Events Centre.
Monte-Carlo SBM’s commitment to sustainability makes it easy for organisers to control their ecological impact at any of the group’s venues, hotels or restaurants. From green meeting rooms with natural daylight using dry-erase boards, recycled paper and glass water bottles, to closely managed temperature and air-conditioning.
There are a wide range of environmentally-friendly team-building and incentive activities on offer. Click here for more information.
“Monte-Carlo SBM calculates its carbon footprint each year in order to continue appropriate reduction actions. Key goals for the future include reducing energy consumption, zero plastic bottles, reduction by half of our paper consumption, in four years, more than 30 per cent of vegetable products coming from local gardens and 90 per cent coming from local producers”
Hybrid events, using both digital technology and face to face engagement, have been growing in importance for some time and the pandemic has increased their popularity. To ensure it remains at the forefront of demand, Monte-Carlo SBM has set up a hybrid events think-tank. With investment in Wi-Fi coverage and bandwidths and state-of-the-art technology, organisers can rely on its digital know-how to offer tailormade solutions.
“Hybrid events allow companies to carry out their projects with peace of mind. Beyond security, they have the advantage of bringing together a wider public and allowing a more accurate measurement of audience engagement. Lastly, the carbon footprint of a hybrid event is smaller than that of a physical event for the same number of participants, which is completely in phase with the philosophy that Monaco and the company have had for many years”
Bespoke incentives for staff and customers
Individual incentives could increase in popularity again once it is possible to travel. A bespoke trip to Monaco is a once in a lifetime experience that can offer exceptional activities and memories.
From a luxurious beachfront stay to watersports, Michelin-starred restaurants, pampering spas and golf, the possibilities are endless. Organisers can simply credit a dedicated amount to a reserved room, which the participant can use however they wish during their stay.
Health and safety first
Monte-Carlo Société des Bains de Mer is following the Covid-19 epidemic very closely and is focused on ensuring the health and safety of employees and customers.
