Wefindvenues’ bookings hit £7.5m after investment in RFP tech
London based venue finding agency wefindvenues has recorded venue bookings of £7.5 million in the last 12 months, up 36 per cent on the previous year.
The agency, part of The AOK Events Group, puts the growth down to investments in marketing, staff and its RFP (request for proposal) technology, as well as signing some significant new accounts from the legal and energy sectors. Turnover also grew significantly in the period, up 65 per cent to £1m.
The team of 10 has been bolstered by a number of recent hires. Louis Sakyi joined from a degree in events management and Charlotte Keefe from the events team at Decanteur Magazine, while Leona Byrnes, previously head of events at Skygarden, joins to head up the sales management of the group’s new commercial partnership with The View from The Shard.
Paul Moynihan, MD of wefindvenues, said: “We’ve had a fantastic 12 months of continued growth, and we’re investing in all key areas of the business to ensure the next year sees an even greater successes.”
The firm has recently invested heavily in its online RFP tool wefindvenues.com, with the aim of making the process of both finding and proposing a venue more efficient and powerful for both venues and clients.
Clerkenwell based digital firm Etch advised on the changes. Head of design sprints Ross Chapman said: “Wefindvenues wanted to make their product the most user friendly and accurate in the marketplace by adapting the way venues submit proposals. By working with Etch to make the UX faster and simpler, clients will now really understand what was being offered to them by venues, helping them make the best decision for their event.”
The AOK Events Group is an event management company with six core services; live events, party planning, venue finding, hospitality, sponsorship and event technology. Its client roster includes LinkedIn, Innocent Drinks, Michelin, Funding Circle and Sweaty Betty.
