VisitScotland Business Events heads for PCMA’s Convening Leaders summit in Pittsburgh

VisitScotland Business Events is gearing up to showcase Scotland’s legendary innovation and pioneering spirit to more than 4,000 meeting planners from across the globe at PCMA’s Convening Leaders event in Pittsburgh this January.

PCMA’s Convening Leaders is one of the most important, influential, and inspiring conference for the business events industry. The four-day event attracts thousands of business events executives and professionals from around the world.

This year’s Convening Leaders 2019 will follow a ‘Disrupt & Deliver’ theme and will teach attendees how to drive global and social transformation through business events with its speaker selection and extensive educational programme. Sessions include topics on audience acquisition and engagement, leadership, collaboration, event strategy and design as well as innovation.

VisitScotland Business Events will sponsor the PCMA Chapter Leaders Workshop, which will unite 150 chapter leaders from across north and south America and the invitation-only global reception, which takes place on Tuesday 8 January at the Westin Pittsburgh Westmoreland Ballroom.

The organisation has been a strategic partner of PCMA since 2017 and the organisations head of Business Events, Neil Brownlee, sits on PCMA’s Board of Directors for the term 2018 – 2020.
Rory Archibald, business development manager – Associations & Sectors, VisitScotland Business Events said: “our strategic partnership with PCMA is key to engaging with the global business events world and Convening Leaders is a great way to kick start the year.

“PCMA’s message that business events can drive global economic and social transformation aligns with our very own message that we have been profiling globally for the last two years. The educational element of the event and the ability to connect with world leading event strategists is hugely beneficial for Scotland.”

PCMA’s Convening Leaders event will take place in Pittsburgh from 6-9 January.
