Venues and Events International appoints Black Box Partnerships
Venues and Events International has appointed Black Box Partnerships to take care of all of its supplier relationships.
The department will be outsourced to Black Box’s managing partner Leigh Cowlishaw, who will act as Venue & Events International’s new director of procurement and supplier relations.
Cowlishaw, previously director of proposition – accommodation & meetings at Capita Travel and Events before starting Black Box Partnerships earlier this year, joins as an external business to replace Mark Bevan. She will be responsible for all supplier relationships for the Swindon based agency.

Leigh Cowlishaw added: “Both Anita and I have worked collectively in the past to showcase value and growth. We’re delighted to be supporting the Venues and Events International family at a time of rapid growth.”
Cowlishaw, who has more than 20 years’ experience in accommodation, meetings and events, has previously worked at Banks Sadler and is a past chair of the HBAA and on the advisory board of The Meetings Show.
Before joining Capita, Cowlishaw spent eight years with Banks Sadler (now part of AMEX GBT) as European account director. An MIA (Meetings Industry Association) List award winner in 2018, she is past chair and current board member of the HBAA, where she continues to champion mental health as an association initiative. She helped build and launch the GTMC’s conferences, events and meetings steering group, and is on the advisory board of The Meetings Show.
Black Box Partnerships is a consultancy business for travel management companies (TMCs), event agencies and industry suppliers such as hotels, venues and ground transportation companies. It was created to help businesses drive increased profitability by sustainable business performance and improvement.
