‘The good times will return’ – DRPG continues £6m investment

DRPG has started work on its new warehouse facility, a 1,400 sqm new build at the group’s Worcestershire studio complex.

The work will be completed in December 2020 and is part of a £6 million three-year investment programme that has continued despite COVID-19.

“As difficult as times are, we must remain positive and look to the future,” said Dale Parmenter, CEO of DRPG. “We identified last year that to enable us to achieve our three-year growth plan, we have to continue to invest in our people, facilities and infrastructure – the good times will return and we have to be ready. The pandemic has allowed us to bring forward certain investments, which we had planned for 2021/2. When looking at recent announcements of being in a recession worse than 11 years ago, this cannot be all things considered by turning the tap off to our economy with Covid-19 prevented growth. It will turn around once everything is turned back on.”

The new warehouse facility is part of an ongoing programme of improvements across the group, including a £1.7m new comms, creative and team wellbeing centre that is nearing completion; £500k on a new roof with 750 solar panels installed; £700k invested in digital technology; new online project management and CRM system; build of a new media and virtual centre at DRPG’s Windsor site, and the opening of the new Cologne HQ, which goes live in September.

In preparation for the return of certain sectors, DRPG will be opening its doors again, both live and virtually keeping with government guidelines, for its annual Recruitment Day taking place on Thursday 3 and Friday 4 September. This will allow people to safely book in times to meet with the team, in person or online, following all government guidelines. DRPG sees the day as key to secure the business with the talent to continue being a stable business. More details will be shared in due course.
