Sleek Events gets sporty for charity at annual summer party

Sleek Events got sporty at its annual summer gathering, with more than 70 guests enjoying a sports day-themed party that raised more than £1,500 for charity.

Sleek Events is a partner of industry charity Meeting Needs and the two worked together at the event to raise money for homeless charity Buses 4 Homeless. With Fulham Football Club as this year’s venue, the evening mixed fun and a little bit of friendly competition with a hefty amount of fundraising.

Dan Atkins, founder of Buses 4 Homeless explained to the party guests how they refurbish decommissioned buses into spaces for eating, sleeping, wellbeing and learning in order to re-engage homeless people back into the community.

“It’s great to have a summer celebration every year with everyone but this time we wanted to pay something back. Our Sleek dream team agreed wholeheartedly that Buses 4 Homeless would be our chosen charity. Thanks to all our suppliers for making this a party to remember and a fundraising target to beat for next year!” said Sleek Events founder Jennifer Davidson.

Davidson welcomed suppliers and partners to the boutique agency’s fourth birthday. Back in May, the team had decided this party would be the perfect way to kick off their fundraising activity with charity partner Meeting Needs.

After having a go at the coconut shy, croquet and some questionable clearance of the limbo pole, not only had the guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves, they had also raised £1,595.66 for Buses 4 Homeless.

Lene Corgan, vice chair of Meeting Needs, said “We are very thankful to the Sleek Events team for their support, both as a charity partner of Meeting Needs but also for choosing to fundraise for Buses 4 Homeless at their summer event in partnership with us. When we work together with our charity partners we can do so much more to change the lives of those in need.”
