MEDIAmaker marks 25th year in business with month-long celebration

Nottingham-based media and events production company MEDIAmaker is marking its 25th anniversary in style – with a month of celebrations throughout December.

“When four in ten SMEs don’t manage to survive the first five years, MEDIAmaker’s 25th anniversary marks an especially meaningful milestone in a challenging industry that has seen significant changes”, MEDIAmaker managing director Alison Glaves told M&IT. “So we’ve not done too badly!”

Embracing digital technology from the outset and taking every opportunity to future-proof the business, the company has continuously supported customers from major retailers, manufacturers, financiers and institutions, as well as surviving turbulent markets, recessions and political upheaval.

MEDIAmaker’s month of celebrations kicked off with a birthday buffet lunch which saw the launch of a video showcase on its website and on social media. The firm also produced a thank you video for clients starring Glaves, as well as a bespoke “Merry Birthdaymas” chocolate advent calendar sent to clients and suppliers. The firm will also be celebrating with a party day in the heart of Nottingham in the third week of December.

On Twitter, MEDIAmaker is sharing its top 25 corporate event tips, posting a tip a day throughout December, as well as sharing blog posts and a photo wall with photos of the team from 1993, the year the firm began.

“Since 1993, we have been helping businesses to inform, motivate, educate and celebrate with their internal teams and external guests staging meetings, exhibitions amd conferences for 40 up to 5,000 delegates,” added Glaves, one of four founder members of MEDIAmaker.

“We are a people business who value each other and enjoy the rewards of success together. It has not always been easy, but as they say, ‘what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger’.

“Looking back at our story, any tough times created resilience and valuable insight. They led us to fostering the MEDIAmaker experience that is considered, creative and confident – all born from an involve-and-evolve ethic within our teams and with our customers and it is this that will continue to carry us into a bright future.”

The company is also set to expand its team in the coming months.
