IBTM Americas 2021 moves to August due to Covid-19
Originally scheduled for May 2021, Reed Exhibitions Mexico, organiser of IBTM Americas, has announced the event’s postponement to August 2021.
The new event dates of 18 and 19 August 2021 have been announced as an ongoing result of the Covid-19 pandemic.
On the announcement, show director, David Hidalgo, said: “Due to the current scenario and the changes in the events global calendar for the meetings and events industry; we have made the decision to move IBTM Americas to August 2021. We are hopeful that this decision will offer a more productive business atmosphere to achieve high-quality results, and in a more secure environment.”
The decision to postpone the event will allow organisers an additional three months to analyse the health conditions in Mexico during Q1 and Q2 of 2021, which will help predict what Q3 and Q4 will look like.
“We are working on providing enhanced and robust safety and hygiene measures and protocols, hand in hand with international experts. We are confident that we will be able to have our face-to-face meetings in a framework of security and tranquillity for all,” added Hidalgo.
The show will also offer virtual solutions alongside the in-person show at Centro Citibanamex in Mexico City in August 2021.

IBTM Americas has been running an annual trade show for 10 years and aims to connect the leaders of meetings and events industry across the Americas. Its primary purpose is to bring the community together to do business, network and inspire each other.
