Event Marketing Association gets ready for annual Summer Soiree

The Event Marketing Association (EMA) is getting ready to host its 5th Annual EMA Summer Soiree at Middle Temple Hall & Gardens, London on 15 July.

The event aims to provide corporate event organisers with the opportunity to network with other industry players in a relaxed, party atmosphere.

This year, 150 planners and marketers are expected to attend the Summer Soiree, however, there are still places for corporate organisers to attend.

Richard Waddington, chair of EMA, said: “Our events are usually closed events for our members, but once a year we throw our Soiree open and invite all corporate organisers as well as other senior representatives from across the industry.

“As always, we will be supporting Meeting Needs, the event industry’s charity, for which we will be fund-raising on the evening and conducting a raffle with some amazing prizes. It is a great chance for non-members to get an idea of what the EMA does and for members to catch up with one another and have a bit of well-deserved fun.”

The Event Marketing Association is a not-for-profit industry association exclusively for in-house corporate event planners. The association has an online community of more than 650 members, all of which have access to industry news, insights, commentary and jobs.

Once a month the association also organises events, educational workshops and represents its members at government level through its seat on the BVEP – the umbrella organisation that represents leading trade and professional organisations, government agencies and other significant influencers in the business visits and events sector.

But it won’t all be formal networking and presentations. Guests at the Summer Soiree will enjoy food and drinks from the Admirable Crichton catering company and be entertained by The Ministry of Fun.
