‘Even in challenging times exciting events still happening’, says Identity

Live events agency Identity delivered a full-size replica of the Royal Air Force aerobatic team’s Hawk jet to London.

This was to reveal the Red Arrows’ latest flying manoeuvre on The One Show.

“Even in these challenging times, exciting events are still happening,” Michael Gietzen, Identity’s managing director, said.

“I am really impressed at how the team at Identity was able to adapt to the fast-moving changes to the original requirements while working closely with our client and the BBC. Everyone pulled together – and delivered a great feature that was a welcome piece of good news at this time.”

Flight Lieutenant Jon Bond, also known as Red 6, created a new manoeuvre to feature within this year’s display. During an interview with The One Show’s Alex Jones, the Red Arrows team made the announcement.

The RAF Hawk jet was delivered by the Identity team outside the BBC’s studios.

Identity has produced live immersive digital events as well as international summits and conferences, including the NATO Leaders’ Meeting, held in London in December.

Managing director of Identity Michael Gietzen, who originally qualified as an accountant, took over his father’s exhibition stand company that employed just four people eight years ago and has since transformed it into an international events agency with a team of 100+. It delivers in excess of 1,000 events a year, working with global blue chip clients such as Google, ITV and Siemens.

“We put on the largest events in the UK in 2019. Our local team is exceptional. It is their hard work and immense talent, combined with a massive investment in our facilities that has provided us with the in-house ability to deliver every aspect of a show-stopping event for our clients.”

The events agency reported an average annual sales growth over the past three years of 46 per cent a year, and entered the top 100 fastest growing private UK companies in the Sunday Times Virgin Atlantic Fast Track 100 list.
