EVCOM London Live and Film Awards announce winners

Top Banana was named agency of the year when event professionals donned their glad rags and got the red carpet treatment at this year’s EVCOM London Live and Film awards ceremonies.

Guests were welcomed to the British Film Institute via a red carpet entrance for a drink’s reception overlooking the River Thames, followed by the awards ceremonies. The EVCOM London Live Awards was hosted by comedian Naomi Cooper while the EVCOM London Film Awards was opened by the impressionist Darren Altman. Midlands-based Top Banana took home the coveted EVCOM London Live Agency of the Year gong, while Young Guns Group was named Challenger Agency of the Year.

An EVCOM spokesperson said: “Congratulations to everyone who walked away with a trophy, and to everyone who entered and were shortlisted. The standard of work was so incredibly high and we saw an unprecedented amount of entries for both awards ceremonies. After each gold winner was announced, guests were able to watch the accompanying film to the winning entry (where a film was available). This was a lovely chance to celebrate the hard work and skill that the awards are here to commend.

“Following the ceremonies, the audiences of both ceremonies were brought together for a party fit for the talent and creativity that had just been recognised! The final of Events R Talented happened live and exclusive before their eyes, Benugo’s provided delicious buffet-style food, and guests spent the rest of the night dancing to Young Guns DJ Collective. We certainly had a fantastic night, celebrating the best of the best, and we hope you did too.

“Congratulations to all those who entered, to those whose work was shortlisted, and finally to our winners. It has been a privilege to see the quality of the work people in our industry are producing, and to celebrate it!”
