DRPG comms director Julie Davidson passes away following brief illness
Creative communications agency DRPG has announced with great sadness that Julie Davidson, director of strategy and comms, passed away on Thursday 27 May at the age of 56.
Julie passed after a short illness in her hometown of York and will be lovingly remembered, by her husband Rob and daughter Christy.
Messages of condolence have been pouring in for Julie. Her DRPG colleagues shared the following:
“Julie helped me as a mentor and leader, her kind smile and nurturing personality will be missed at DRPG. A rock for so many and someone who could always see the other side of a conversation. A true professional and an amazingly talented lady.”
Julie studied Fine Art at Nottingham University, beginning her career in art galleries, before moving into live event production and the creative communications industry. Including working at agencies Imagination and Logistik before joining DRPG in 2009. During her time, she built the Creative Comms and Campaigns division of the group.
Julie shared her unique knowledge and experience with all those that she worked with and over her 25 years in the industry, she helped shape the way organisations communicated with both their people and customers around the globe. She was involved in large scale employee engagement activities, product launches and brand campaigns. Julie worked closely with many well-known brands; Sainsbury’s, BT, Lloyds Banking Group, FCA, Jaguar Land Rover and Triumph Motorcycles and many more.
The funeral will be a closed service held at St. Mary’s Church in Billinge, Wigan at 1.30 pm on Friday 18th June. There will be an online stream accessible on the day of the funeral via www.juliedavidson.online where messages of condolences can also be left.
