Bluedog brings to life ‘legend’ of Silent Pool at London Heathrow
Production and events specialist Bluedog has teamed up with Silent Pool Distillers to bring to life the story of the handcrafted “legendary” gin at London Heathrow airport.
The award-winning Surrey-based company is showcasing its gin at a promotional space in Europe’s busiest airport until April this year.
The bespoke space features a back LED screen showing a series of short animations and videos and features a custom-made gin bar dominated by two giant-sized bottles.
The bar, which offers visitors free tastings of Silent Pool mixed with Fever Tree Indian tonic water, sits on a floor reproducing the teal and copper colours and design of the bottle.
Bluedog founder and CEO Nick King said: “Silent Pool Gin has a really interesting story behind it; one which we really wanted to bring to life within the activation.
“It’s a handcrafted, artisan spirit made at a very unusual location on the Duke of Northumberland’s Albury Estate in Surrey, where dilapidated farm buildings on the banks of the legendary Silent Pool have been transformed into the distillery.
“By using bio-fuel to fire their boiler (to power the copper still) and installing 16.5kW solar panels on the roof of the distillery, the business is becoming more sustainable. What fantastic ammunition to work with.”
The activation, which has ran for a month at Terminal 5 will now move to Terminal 2 for March and part of April, displays the one litre Silent Pool gin bottles and gift boxes.
Floss Godfrey, marketing campaign manager at Silent Pool, said the company are “primarily trying to attract new customers” whilst showcasing the brand and offering samples.
She said: “We are absolutely thrilled with the outcome. The quality of the units are remarkable and the entire activation has showcased our premium, luxury brand to an exceptional standard.”
Silent Pool has flavours of lavender, chamomile, fresh citrus and local honey and is produced using 24 botanicals and the spring-water from the famous pool.
King added: “We’re really delighted with the way that the Silent Pool Gin activation has worked so far and have very much enjoyed working with the team at the Distillery.”
Bluedog’s portfolio includes fashion shows, sports sponsorship, conferences, award events, airport retail, product launches, fundraising events, trade stands and bespoke design and build.
