AIM Group International earnings up 28 per cent in year of steady growth
AIM Group International has announced double digit increases in both turnover and earnings in its Corporate Annual Report 2018
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) hit almost 2.7 million euro in 2018, representing a 28 per cent increase year-on-year, while overall turnover was 99 million euro, a 13 per cent growth.
The positive results come in a year marked by achievements in a number of areas including new business acquisitions; organisation of more than 3,000 congresses and events; client diversification and financial consolidation. The major projects realised include investments in communication, with the acquisition of the majority stake of VanGogh agency which enabled the Group to enlarge the range of services offered, and the opening of a new office in Barcelona.
“Thanks to these accomplishments, led by the entire management team and supported by everyone’s hard work, AIM Group looks positively to the future,” said Gianluca Buongiorno, president of AIM Group International. “Our new Business Plan is orienting us to be stronger, with an enhanced international profile and, most importantly, with a financially robust position”.
When including companies not fully owned by the Group, the overall turnover is more than 110 million euro. The results are in line with the Business Plan 2018-2020 which set the future financial goals with the EBITDA at 5 per cent.
“In 2018, we launched the Business Plan 2018-2020, based on the solid results achieved” said Gianluca Scavo, CEO of AIM Group International. “Our ambitious development path focuses on three main priorities: consolidation of our business portfolio; new strategic acquisitions; and the opening of new offices in dynamic destinations. Finally, the value that we emphasize in our plan is growth coupled with high profitability.”
“Quality and innovation will continue to be our main drivers over the years” adds Gianluca Buongiorno. “Association and corporate clients require to provide more value and innovate the way to deliver effective events. It is a common challenge in the industry and we are confident that, thanks to our investments, expertise, long experience and staff professionalism, we will continue to further position AIM Group International as a global leader in the meetings industry”.
