That’s why you’ll always find me in the kitchen at…….poor venues

I judge a venue by the service they provide and a big negative is when I have to visit the kitchen during one of my events to find a member of staff to provide something as basic as more milk for my delegate’s coffee.
Having just held an event which needed three ‘kitchen excursions’, I was told by the venue as they apologised that they were very busy that day with other events.
I may be harsh but that’s simply not the point is it? If you know you will be busy you get more people in so that there’s a superb and attentive service and you get a re-book.
It’s a competitive world out there and I’m afraid not getting the basics right just doesn’t cut the mustard (or fill the milk jug!).
