Ain is Partnerships and Events Manager at Penguin Random House, where she works on B2B author events. Prior to this role she worked in Partnerships and Events at Oxford University Press. In her spare time, she creates content across multiple digital channels such as Instagram and YouTube on all things personal development, career and books. Her work to support the publishing industry and her career achievements have earned her a nomination as a Bookseller Rising Star in 2018 and she was recently shortlisted for the London Book Fair Trailblazer Awards in 2021.

 

Juliet Tripp, Deputy Head of Global Events at Chemical Watch

Juliet is your go-to for all things event strategy and personal development. With 10 years’ experience in the industry, she’s Deputy Head of Global Events at Chemical Watch, producing International and Virtual B2B conferences and events. Juliet is a professional speaker and moderator, regularly speaking on global industry stages. In 2019 she was awarded a Conference News 30 under 30 award and empowers ambitious eventprofs to reach their goals through her membership and coaching: Event Goal Getters. Juliet is co-host of the Like an EventBoss podcast with Carrie Abernathy.

 

Max Fellows, Events Industry Growth Consultant and Founder of Elevate Mentoring and Virtual Events Directory

A prominent figure in the world of events and recently voted one of the top industry influencers, Max Fellows has spent over a decade successfully establishing and growing global agencies whilst delivering best in class live communications programmes for brands. Max is co-founder of the Virtual Events Directory, co-founder of the event industry’s largest mentoring and training provider ELEVATE, and owner of creative business consultancy, GrowthSpecialist.co.uk.

Narmeen Kamran, Desert Island Events Podcast Host and Events Manager

Narmeen first started in the industry aged 16 volunteering at comic conventions. Since then she has worked in hospitality and events throughout her studies becoming an AGM at a venue shortly after university. Now with 11 years of experience, she has worked on a variety of events across the world from Olympic sporting competitions to international conferences and awards.

Mental Health, Diversity and Personal Development are Narmeen’s passions. She also acts as a strong advocate and speaker on these topics through her own personal experience and growth. Narmeen is involved with multiple industry charities to give back to the industry, most recently creating HospoMasks to raise funds as well as being a qualified Mental Health First Aider.

Since her redundancy in the pandemic, Narmeen has launched her own personal brand and started various projects. Desert Island Events is an industry podcast created, produced and hosted by Narmeen as a fun conversation highlighting the heart of the industry, the creativity. Not one to sit still, Narmeen also runs Hospo Book Club, a network centred around personal development and wellbeing.
