"In terms of thinking you’re going to be able to tell an audience what to do at a virtual event I don’t think you’ve got a chance. They will make up their own mind. They will drop into conversations and leave when they want to and all of that is generally a positive thing.

"If people are exiting your event early you’ve failed in many ways – and content is a crucial part of that. People want a memorable occasion. They want events that deliver an emotional heartpull. And I think that’s something that people have been missing."
