Vue announces ‘game-changing’ refurb to Manchester Printworks venue

Following the signing of a new 20‐year deal, the flagship cinema is undergoing a multi‐million‐pound refurbishment in tandem with transformational work at the complex, totalling £22 million.

The renovation of the 20 screened venue which has a total capacity of 2,086, including Europe’s second largest IMAX, will continue to operate as normal for events and day-to-day business.

The revamp will see each screen room upgraded with luxury recliner seating with tables and drinks holders, refreshed carpets and paintwork. The first stage is near completion with the entire project being finalised in September.

Head of corporate sales and advertising for Vue Entertainment, Rachel Macaulay said: “This investment gives us a superior offering to conference and event organisers in the North. It’s a game‐changer for delegates’ comfort, allowing for total concentration in a calm and relaxed environment.”

Edinburgh welcomes the
Gleneagles Townhouse

Gleneagles’ first city hotel, all-day restaurant, roof terrace and members’ club has arrived in Edinburgh’s St. Andrew Square.

The venue is open to meetings and event with an array of private rooms ideal for formal meetings or private celebrations. The ground-floor space The Counting Room, seats up to ten people. The Telling Rooms provide a relaxed snug and sitting room with a terrace and pantry, this is the ideal spot for meetings, calls and working into the evening.

Oracle Red Bull Racing launches F1
screening packages

The experience will offer corporate guests the chance to watch the Austrian and Dutch Formula One Grand Prix while surrounded by a fleet of Red Bull Racing cars.

The incentives are ideal for corporate businesses looking for a premium option for their summer event programmes and are designed to sit alongside company conferences, meetings, or team building activities.

While the space can be configured to suit clients’ requirements, it can be hired exclusively for up to 450 guests for a reception, with the boardroom sized to seat 22.

Coppa Club opens The Georgian hotel in
Surrey Hills

The newly opened Grade II listed property features a garden terrace with a large fire pit three pods and 13 rooms.

Rose Court Events

London’s South Bank has welcomed the new venue: Rose Court Events, managed by Green & Fortune. The venue spans three floors with a rooftop terrace and event space for 700 guests.

Alongside large, open-plan spaces for up to 220 for a seated dinner and 450 reception style, there are also private dining and event spaces for between 10 and 30 people.

The central curved staircase leads delegates up to the rooftop terrace with 360-degree views across central London.

Green & Fortune also operates Kings Place in King’s Cross, Sea Containers on the South Bank and Central Hall Westminster in Westminster.

Grand Hyatt Dubai opens new exhibition centre

The Grand Hyatt Dubai exhibition Center is contemporary events arena with 5,000 sqm of multi-purpose facilities including 3,000sqm of open function space with 12-metre-high ceilings, a 600sq arrival hall and a VIP entrance.

The venue is due to open imminently and is attached to the Grand Hyatt Dubai hotel which is located between the Dubai International Airport, the Dubai business district and other major attractions.

The Grand Hyatt Dubai Exhibition Center has ambitions to become the leading venue for mid-to large-scale conferences, exhibitions and events in the region.

The Stay Hotel Groups opens carbon-neutral hotel in Turkey

The Stay Boulevard Nisantasi is the fourth property to be opened in Turkey by the Stay Hotel Group.

The new hotel meets The Stay Hotels’ standards of excellence for sustainability, as part of Turkey’s first carbon-neutral independent hotel group. Recently awarded carbon-neutral status by the internationally recognised sustainability specialist Bureau Veritas, the brand plans to be zero waste by the end of 2022.

The new hotel has vegan leather headboards graced with European Down and Feather Association-certified pillows, recycled room key cards and menus brimming with local produce including vegan and vegetarian dishes accompanied by Turkish wines.
