industry charity, Meeting Needs, has announced Chris Peacock is its new chair.
As director and co-founder of Conference Care,
Peacock brings nearly 30 years of event industry experience with him to the role
as he takes over form outgoing chair, Jason Wilcock.
departure from the role comes after nearly three years at the helm of the charity.
His time as chair saw him steer the charity through the Covid pandemic and
maintain fund‐raising and project finance.
his role as director at Conference Care, Peacock is responsible for the sales,
finance and procurement areas of the company. He also helped launch a carbon
consultancy product in October 2021, which provides detailed measurement, reduction
and offset of carbon produced by events.
He is a
past chair of the HBAA in 2012, serving as a board member of the association
for more than eight years. He has served the charity for the past two years as
a board member.

The Dilly on 3 May 2022. The event brought together charity partners,
supporters and beneficiaries for an in‐person gathering for the first time
since 2019. Attendees heard from Sparkle Foundation and Clowns without Borders
about the impactful work they are doing in communities in Malawi and Ukraine.
The event was also the finale of the Meeting Needs auction, raising more than
£8,000 for future projects.

event management at agency Worldspan. He said: “It has been an absolute
privilege to work on these projects with a fantastic team of volunteers. In
fact, it has given me a valuable sense of perspective.”
A desire to travel led Holly Patrick to the business meetings and events world and she’s never looked back. Holly takes a particular interest in event sustainability and creating a diverse and inclusive industry. When she’s not working, she can be found rolling skating along Brighton seafront listening to an eclectic playlist, featuring the likes of Patti Smith, Sean Paul, and Arooj Aftab.
