Design-led ‘Jenga’ Leonardo Hotel to open in Manchester
Opening soon, Leonardo Hotel Manchester Piccadilly is affectionately known as the ‘Jenga’ building due to its exterior tower blocks.
With 275 stylish en-suite bedrooms, appointed with Leonardo Hotels’ signature DREAM bed, designed for a peaceful night’s sleep, TVs, and spacious, well-lit desks, guests can rest easy in the heart of the city.
Leonardo Hotel Manchester Piccadilly will offer dining at its on-site bar and restaurant, Leo’s.

'The Hub' launches at De Vere Wokefield Estate & De Vere Horsley Estate
De Vere, a collection of historic mansion house estates, hotels and event destinations, has launched The Hub, a refurbished Smart Space area at De Vere Horsley Estate in Surrey and De Vere Wokefield Estate near Reading.
The Hub offers a suite of meeting rooms featuring superfast WiFi up to 500MB, a dedicated lounge, a coffee and refreshments station and IT audio-visual facilities. Both spaces can be booked individually, in groups, or altogether to offer exclusive use. The spaces also can be dressed with temporary signage and bespoke audio-visual options to perfectly complement your brand and event.
At De Vere Horsley Estate, planners can choose from nine meeting spaces at The Hub in Horsley Place, hosting between six to 100 people.
At De Vere Wokefield Estate, The Hub is located within Wokefield Place and offers seven meeting spaces for six to 70 people. For larger events, the Hub's spaces can be booked in conjunction with the 500 capacity Wokefield Suite, providing satellite spaces, breakout options and privacy in equal measure.
Graduate hotels launch refurbished hotels and Oxford and Cambridge
Located in the heart of Oxford, The Randolph Hotel by Graduate Hotels is home to 472 sqm of flexible meeting and event space. Suited to corporate functions, board meetings and private dinners, the hotel has 151 rooms and suites and can tailor group experiences to include a full itinerary with a variety of catering options. Designed with a ceiling of full antique mirrors, chandeliers, wood panelling and a chequered floor, The Randolph Hotel’s ballroom space is the largest event space of Oxford’s hotels. With a capacity of up to 350 guests. It also has access to a private reception area with a built-in bar, a private entrance for loading with access to the car park, and can be equipped with AV equipment, projectors and screens.
With striped wallpaper, colourful furnishings and historic paintings, The Lancaster, St. John and Worcester Drawing Rooms provide intimate spaces for hosting, each with a large fireplace and flooded with natural light. The Lancaster and Worcester Rooms both feature full-height windows that overlook the Ashmolean, whilst the St. John Room has large gothic windows that look onto St. Giles, Martyrs’ Memorial and the surrounding university colleges. All of these spaces are compatible with AV equipment, projectors and screens; capacities can be viewed below.
Sitting on the River Cam, the Graduate Cambridge has approximately 400 sqm of event space. The 148-room hotel can provide a wide range of catering options, with indoor and outdoor group experiences including garden games, afternoon tea and punting tours.
The River Suite
Offering views of the River Cam, the River Suite has the versatility to choose from a number of smaller, distinct breakout suites to fit any type of gathering, including a large waterfront ballroom that can accommodate up to 300 people, a private bar in the Rhee Suite and access to the car park. The numerous smaller rooms vary in size, with capacities ranging from 25 to 180 guests.
Accessed through the Garden House bar, the Cayley Suite is ideal for board meetings and corporate receptions. The suite opens onto the riverside garden to allow for team building activities or alfresco dining in the summer, can accommodate up to 40 people
The Bourn Suite provides a flexible work and gathering space, with glass sliding walls and views of the River Cam. It's a suitable space for interviews, one to one meetings or remote working, and can fit 20 people
De Vere Cotswold Water Park unveils event space transformation
De Vere Cotswold Water Park, part of the De Vere collection has unveiled the results of a £700,000 refurbishment to its Kingfisher and Drake event suites.
The suites have been refreshed to include modern amenities and the latest technologies to bring them in line with the company’s innovative Smart Space meetings concept. Smart Space comprises nine service features including meeting rooms; a personal conference host; tech-savvy support; free super-fast Wi-Fi and access to a team of specialists to help ensure delegates get moving and remain motivated throughout the day.
The Kingfisher Suite, one of De Vere Cotswold Water Park’s largest spaces, can host up to 370 or can be split into three for smaller groups. The space offers 300 metres of flexible floor space and can easily be tailored to suit any event. The space also offers its own entrance to ensure planners can make the space their own, with privacy and exclusivity for guests.
The Drake Suite offers flexible seating options making it ideal for private dinners or smaller conferences for up to 126 guests. The space offers a built-in projector and screen, and a private breakout area to offer a welcoming spot for arrival drinks.
