New recruitment platform The Hub has launched to help event professionals recruit talent.

The Hub will allow employers and recruiters to connect with pre-qualified candidates and aims to streamline the recruitment process for all involved parties.

Robert Kenward, founder of The Hub, said: “2021 is the year in which we as an industry start to rebuild and we will see the largest and fastest growth spurt ever experienced. Recruitment will be at the forefront of this growth; however, a new beginning needs a new approach.

“The Hub will revolutionise recruitment by connecting employers and recruiters to pre-qualified, industry-relevant candidates, making it easier and faster for employers to access the huge pool of talent that our industry has available. As an added benefit, a unique monthly ‘pulse’ check will ensure the talent pool is kept fresh and only candidates still looking for work are listed.”

The Hub process will involve candidates upload their CVs for free. Employers and recruiters can then define their searches, scan pre-qualified CVs, compile shortlists and download selected CVs. Companies can also create job vacancy adverts, with suitable candidates receiving notifications when relevant vacancies are posted. The site caters for both freelance and permanent roles.

“We are proud to be working with a number of prestigious community partners who are at the forefront of our industry, and who are dedicated to improving the lives of those in the sectors we serve. We have also committed to supporting their chosen charities ensuring that as well as helping people find work, we can support those who have other needs too.

“The world has changed, it’s time recruitment did too.”

The Hub’s community partners include mia, ILEA, MPI UK and Ireland, HBAA, IMEX Group, Fast Forward 15, Diversity Ally and EventWell.

Carina Bauer, CEO of the IMEX Group said: “We’re proud to be a community partner for The Hub. The events industry has a long and successful history of working together and we believe that continued collaboration will underpin the sector’s recovery. Recruitment is set to play a crucial part in helping the sector build back up and The Hub is a vital tool in supporting talent.”

Interested candidates can upload their CVs at TheHub.Jobs.
